From one checked recipe to every useful output

A practical workflow for recurring bakes: reuse supplier ingredients, duplicate recipes and keep labels and records together.

14-allergen matrix

Every menu item against all 14 UK allergens, with contains and may-contain states. Print-ready with a review date. Free, forever.

Pro

Print in the format you use

Print full ingredient lists with allergens emphasised on common thermal printers or A4 sheet printers. Choose a preset or enter your own rectangular label dimensions. Use the PPDS format when how and when you pack the food makes it relevant.

Pro

Reusable ingredients and recipes

Enter each supplier ingredient once, duplicate a base bake for another flavour, and keep every label and matrix connected when something changes.

Pro

QR allergen menu

Publish a scannable allergen page for your counter or tables, with a printable QR sign — customers check allergens themselves, staff stop guessing.

Pro

Inspection-ready records

One click prints a dated records pack — ingredient register, product register and matrix, each with a sign-off line. Or take it all as CSV; your data is yours.

You stay in control

You enter and confirm your own allergen data. We never guess for you — suggestions are always flagged for your confirmation.

Pricing

One plan, priced like a coffee round

No contracts, cancel anytime. The matrix builder is genuinely free — Pro is for when you need labels too.

Common questions

Do I legally need an allergen matrix?

UK food law requires you to provide accurate allergen information for everything you sell. For non-prepacked food, a matrix is the standard, inspector-recognised way to record it. For prepacked-for-direct-sale (PPDS) food, you additionally need full ingredient labels under Natasha's Law.

What counts as PPDS food?

Food packaged before it is selected or ordered, on the premises from which it is then offered to customers by the same business, can be PPDS. A made-to-order item packed after the order is not PPDS. Check the current guidance against your exact sales setup rather than assuming every boxed product is treated the same way.

Where does my data live?

The free matrix builder stores everything in your own browser — nothing is uploaded. Pro accounts store data securely so you can access it from any device; you can export or delete it at any time.

Does AllergenKit tell me which allergens are in my food?

No — and be wary of anything that claims to. You confirm every allergen from your own ingredient labels and supplier specs. AllergenKit gives you the professional format, keeps everything consistent, and makes updates painless. Responsibility for accuracy stays with your business, as the law requires.
